Just FYI, as of the 1st of April the DOT inspectors began placing drivers out of service for failing to have required ELD’s in the trucks. It’s also when ELD violations began affecting the CSA scores. If any drivers are having an issue with their ELD, please have them contact safety ASAP. Just a reminder that Safety needs notified in writing within 24 of an ELD not working. A driver only has 8 days to have a working ELD in their vehicle.
Please remind your drivers that per the “ELD Mandate” drivers need to have in their possession: 8 blank paper logs, 7-day prior logs, DOT Reference Card*, and User’s Manuel*. Both of those (*) documents are available for download on our website under Safety tab, then ELD reference. Please don’t hesitate to call safety with any issues.
